I remember when i was quite young..about 5years old..(now being 40..that's quite a while) Uncle Iro was my playmate. He used to push me around on my bike and made sure i had a good time..My Grandfather..who was his Dad, scolded him for being too friendly with me..I can't forget what Baba said.."sai ta raina ka"! Thank God I didnt..instead it made me feel really close to Uncle Iro as i grew older..He had a listening ear and tried his best to be there for me through my trying times..He was a young uncle who i know most if not all the "Matankari" nieces and nephews could relate too...He looked and seemed ever young. I find it EXTREMELY difficult to come to terms with this great loss and have tried to put myself in a state of self denial..It does'nt work..cos am beseiged with phone calls..all trying to let me know they too are pained with this incidence..Uncle Iro..May the Lord grant you eternal rest and may you rest in peace in the bosom of our Lord..untill we one day see you again...The pain will lessen..you are not gone..cause..Dinah and Jamil live on..we shall see you through them. Love you always. Elizabeth Aishatu Matankari-Diku aka Lamiso
